Most of you have switched over to an optical mouse – no more gunk clogging up the ball, no more jerking the mouse hard to force the cursor to move, right?
By now you’ve found out that the optical mouse is not quite as forgiving as they made it sound, and in fact it’s rather picky about what surface it’s on. The mouse pad is firmly back in place for most of you.
But wait! Hold that thought! Today Logitech unveiled the first laser-guided wireless mouse, and this one really truly mouses on any surface, up to 20 times more accurately than an optical mouse! Or so they say.
Even if that’s true, though, I’m not sure I’ll ever give up my Ratpadz mouse pad – rigid, oversized, and the best mousing surface I’ve ever had.
