If you use the MSN Search Toolbar, Microsoft has just released a beta of a Phishing Filter to protect against suspicious web sites masquerading as legitimate sites. The same technology will be built into Internet Explorer 7 when it arrives in a few months. This is a tempting addition to the protection we all need online, but in a world filled with toolbars, MSN Toolbar isn’t my first choice and this isn’t enough to make me change.
