Microsoft plans to release the final version of Windows OneCare Live, its antivirus/backup/firewall/tuneup program, by summer 2006, and is likely to announce a price of $50/year for the finished product. Here’s an article about the upcoming announcement.
After installing it on dozens of systems and using it myself, I continue to be a big fan. It will be a huge step forward for most home users and small businesses without a server. The combination of Windows OneCare and a hundred dollar external hard drive means many of my clients and friends are deeply protected against computer threats. Look into it!
