Some versions of Quickbooks are incompatible with Internet Explorer 7. It’s hard to say why IE7 came as a surprise to Intuit, but only now are patches appearing to make recent versions of Quickbooks work correctly after IE7 is installed.

- Quickbooks 2007 works correctly.
- Quickbooks 2006 requires a patch but works correctly after the update.
- Quickbooks 2005 is still broken; the patch is promised for mid-December.
- There are currently no plans to provide an update for Quickbooks 2004 and earlier versions, which is a pretty ugly bit of coercion to get you to buy an upgrade.
