Lord of the Rings fans: You have a long memory, right? Think back to last year – you bought the DVD of Fellowship of the Ring right away, and then found out that the extended edition – the one you really wanted – wasn’t released until three months later. You wound up with two copies, right?
Remember that when you’re looking at The Two Towers in the stores on Tuesday, because the extended version of The Two Towers won’t be released until November 18.
As part of the marketing for The Return Of The King, there will be brief engagements in December of the first two movies – in theaters, showing the extended editions of the films. That’s an exciting prospect. Here’s an article with more details.
