The first Thinkpad X1 Carbon was revolutionary in its day. This model was the first ultra-premium business laptop, with a matte carbon fiber body, a 14″ screen squeezed into a lightweight 13″ chassis, and a high-resolution (at that time) non-glare screen. The basic features have been carried forward to today’s Thinkpad X1 line.

PROBLEMS:
If you had the budget today, you’d rather have more memory and a higher resolution screen, and battery life is probably terrible. But this is a solid laptop for lightweight use – a steal at this price.
